Free market solutions, operating outside of government control, are always best. When a state-sanctioned monopoly is in place, the citizens who must operate within that monopoly must be protected. As Public Service Commissioner, my priority will be protecting the interests of the ratepayer, promoting environmental responsibility, and sharing a message of free market alternatives.”
Elizabeth Melton is a writer, mother of two sons, Zachary and Maxim, and native of Columbus. She owns a farm in Marion County and understands the challenges that both urban and rural citizens face. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in history from Columbus State University. An enthusiastic proponent of personal freedom and small government, Elizabeth believes strongly in exploring voluntary solutions to solve problems.
